AC-CESS - News - January 21, 2005
THE ITALIAN ROV
AC-CESS's continued development in the European
market has seen the finalisation of distribution
agreements with two leading Italian companies.
The signing of AQUATICA s.r.l. of Marghera (Venice)
and Rome is a major success for AC-CESS's policy
of only signing highly respected companies to
develop and distribute the AC-ROV system.
Founded in 1978 by Mr Lorenzo Cerevillin, Aquatica
has grown into a company who's experience and
expertise is genuinely respected beyond the borders
of its country of origin. Created to be a highly
specialised dive company, Aquatica now boasts
a product range that is a who's who of the diving
world, supplying recreational, commercial, military
and special forces divers from numerous countries.
With a continual modernisation program, Aquatica
has been instrumental in taking military based
equipment and technologies and developing them
for the sports and recreational market.
After in-depth product discussion and demonstration
Mr Cerevillin stated the system was worthy of
Aquatica. Seeing many applications for the AC-ROV
SP50, Mr Cerevillin and his staff were sweeping
in their praise for the 'bambino rov', highlighting
the systems scope of mobility, robustness, camera
relay quality, price and distinctive visual style
- they are Italian after all.
Mr Brian Able Managing Director of AC-CESS Co
Uk Ltd claimed he "was very proud to see
his creation along side such recognised names
in the diving industry"
AGEOTEC s.r.l., based in Bologna, is seen as
adding an important dimension to the AC-CESS group
of distributors. Created by the merging of individual
expertise in marine technology, the Ageotec team
has extensive experience of Marine Geophysics
& Hydrographic Surveying, Navigation &
A reseller of geophysical instruments, offering
installation and support services the company's
main areas of operation are offshore & environmental
survey, river survey and pipe & safety inspection.
With a core business ethic of "portable equipment",
the AC-ROV will be incorporated into Ageotec's
"Survey In A Box" project - which enables
the fast completion of inshore surveys around
the world without needing a shipping agency.
Mr Sergio Zanoli -Ageotec's founder, immediately
recognised the 'fit' of the SP50 in his portable
survey development program emphasising "The
extremely portable nature of the AC-ROV system
was what originally caught my interest, after
in-depth product discussion and a demonstration
I knew the SP50 had a major application within
my company and the market at large". As with
Mr Cerevillin of Aquatica, Mr Zanoli was highly
complementary with regards to the SP50's robustness,
manoverability, camera quality, deployment options
and price - again the visual style of the SP50
was commented upon.
AC-CESS feel that Mr Zanoli and Ageotec will
take the AC-ROV into markets and applications
that are currently under represented by mini ROV's.
