Perry Slingsby Systems
to Provide five (5) Heavy Lift Tether Management
Systems to Subsea 7 Ltd.
Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS), an international
supplier of remote intervention technologies and
equipment systems, is pleased to announce that
Subsea 7 has purchased five (5) Heavy Lift Tether
Management Systems (TMS®) to interface with
their latest fleet of Hercules ROV systems, which
are currently in build.
PSS will provide Subsea 7 Ltd. with their latest
design of high performance heavy lift capacity
TMS®, the Enhanced Type III system. This system
is the latest in the highly successful TMS®
range designed and manufactured in the UK by PSS
over many years, and features an extended tether
length capacity, as well as an intelligent control
system providing proportionally controlled tether
pay-in and pay-out modes, programmable automatic
line speed/pull routines for optimized and safer
ROV / TMS® docking under unfavorable heave
conditions subsea, and an improved tether deployment
path for increased tether life and reliability.
This order will increase the total number of
TMS® units delivered by PSS to over 170. Martin
