Sonavision introduces new Hawkeye Camera
for
use over long cables and umbilicals
Sonavision Limited have completed the development
of a new model for the Hawkeye range of video
cameras and have already delivered the first three
cameras to a leading commercial diving company.
The Hawkeye 65CT, is a lightweight titanium housed
colour camera, with electronics balanced line
driver capable of delivering video over up to
500m twisted pair or 1000m coaxial cable.
Designed for use by commercial divers over long
(and often noisy and poor quality) umbilicals,
the camera weighs only 150g, and at 36mm diameter
and 140mm long is ideal for mounting on a dive
helmet. The camera also has applications for use
on use ROVs where long line drive video is required.
The user is able to select from 3 output levels
to maximise picture quality from a 0.2 lux colour
module over different lengths and types of cables.
The camera is also available in plastic housing
for shallow water use.
