New Appointments for Subsea 7’s Integrated Remote Technology Division

Subsea 7 today announced the following new appointments as a result of the increasing demand for the services offered by its Integrated Remote Technology (IRT) division.

Michael Dravitzki has been appointed as General Manager (Middle East) for their IRT division which offers ROV, Survey, Positioning and Remote Tooling services to both internal and external customers.

Mike, an experienced marine geologist, has worked for over 15 years in the offshore survey and construction industry and joins Subsea 7 from Thales GeoSolutions where he was most recently General Manager for their Middle East business based in United Arab Emirates, and previously Vice President and General Manager for their Houston operations.

Mike will primarily be responsible for developing Subsea 7’s IRT business in the region which will cover Egypt, Arabian Gulf, India and the Caspian. However, he will also seek project/vessel opportunities for Subsea 7 on an ongoing basis.

Additionally, Steve Browne has now taken up a position in the IRT Groups VERIPOS Business as Regional Manager (Americas).

Steve, who joins Subsea 7 from Fugro and formerly Thales Geosolutions where he spent more than 20 years developing and latterly managing their positioning business throughout the Americas, will have complete responsibility for the development and operation of the VERIPOS business throughout North and South America and Canada.

Ian Cobban, Vice President, Integrated Remote Technologies commented: “The expansion of our business is a result of increasing demand for the services offered by Subsea 7’s IRT division, as a number of significant projects come to fruition in the next few years. As developments move into ever deeper water especially in the Gulf of Mexico, Egypt, Brazil and India the requirement for the use of ROVs, Survey, Precise Positioning and Remote Tooling systems will continue to increase”.
