-The
SeaLion ROV is a completely mobile underwater
camera system capable of moving in any
direction. Perfect for pipeline work,
river and ocean searches, and the inspection
of hazardous sites.
-The SeaLion
is a more powerful version of Fishers
very popular SeaOtter ROV. The SeaLion
has two additional horizontal thrusters
for more forward/reverse thrust. The Sealion
has a faster maximum speed of 3 mph and
is capable of working in stronger currents
than the SeaOtter. The more powerful thrust
also allows the SeaLion to operate with
longer lengths of umbilical cable (up
to 1,000 feet). This is especially useful
when performing tunnel or pipeline inspections.
The SeaOtter has a maximum depth rating
of 500 foot. The Sealion is available
with an optional 1,000 foot depth rating.
-The ROV
has a sophisticated six motor propulsion
system; four motors for forward and reverse,
and two motors for vertical and lateral
thrust. All motors are reversible and
operate at variable speed. Meters on the
control panel monitor thrust and direction
of the motors.
-The SeaLion
sends its video picture to a topside 13
inch high resolution color monitor. A
VCR can be connected to the monitor to
make a permanent record. The color camera
has a 6mm wide angle (50 degree) lens.
The camera’s 70 deg tilt allows
a full 120 deg viewing angle. Illumination
is provided by four, 100 watt remotely
controlled tungsten halogen lamps.
-The system
is highly portable and very “user
friendly”. With the optional spare
parts kit, the ROV is field maintainable.
Carrying case is included.
-JW Fishers
SeaLion ROV system represents a major
breakthrough in cost/performance for a
ROV. This high performance system competes
with systems costing more than twice as
much.
We try
to provide the most up to date, recent
specifications on these ROV systems. However,
ROV system specifications are changing
all the time, so please double check with
the manufacturer to insure the specifications
are correct before making a decision in
using or purchasing these systems. |
