| -The
Venom 3K-450T Trencher is designed for operation
to a maximum depth of 3000 metres and is
fitted with hydraulic power units to give
a total shaft power of up to 450HP (335KW).
A modular design allows various modes of
operation and tasks to be performed using
a single system.
-The primary
role is submarine cable maintenance and
repair. The system provides a high specification
post lay burial capability which complies
with an original requirement based on
NSW Submarine Cable Systems world wide
capability and experience in laying and
repairing MINISUB CT Cable Systems.
-When trenching
in the non-cohesive seabed of sand and silt
the power will primarily be diverted to
the Low Pressure water pumps. When trenching
in the cohesive seabed the power will be
diverted to the High Pressure water pumps.
In both instances there will still be sufficient
power available for the track drives and
ancillary functions and power available
for thrusters. •Trencher
Module Control Unit
-A rugged laptop
PC is provided for direct control of the
Trencher Module. The PC will be loaded with
all relevant software supplied with the
surface control system and can be connected
directly to the Trencher Module Curvetech
control system to allow maintenance &
test of the Trencher Module when it is separated
from the Venom ROV. This potentially increases
the time available for maintenance and testing
of the Trencher Module and does not interfere
with ROV operations.
We try
to provide the most up to date, recent
specifications on these ROV systems. However,
ROV system specifications are changing
all the time, so please double check with
the manufacturer to insure the specifications
are correct before making a decision in
using or purchasing these systems. |
