Advanced Control System is the prime mover
for Flexjet II, a highly versatile, advanced
ROV/trencher designed specifically to
perform subsea flexible pipe and cable
trenching and excavation. The system incorporates
the capabilities of a high performance
trencher with the reliability and manoeuvrability
of a neutrally buoyant flying ROV system.
-The result
is a system that can be launched and recovered
rapidly and offer significant advantages
over conventional heavier trenching systems.
The vehicles greater manoeuvrability makes
it easier to accurately place over the
work site without exposing flexible pipe
or cables to damage. When required, several
trench passes can be made over the pipe
or cable. Flying or bottom crawling, pre
or post burial surveys can be carried
out, eliminating the need to deploy a
separate vehicle.
