-The
Pioneer HD ROV systems have been designed
and built by Subsea 7 to satisfy the perpetual
demand for more powerful and capable workclass
vehicles. The influence for the development
of the Pioneer HD was Subsea 7’s
worldrenowned Pioneer system, which was
first introduced into the ROV market during
the 1980’s.
-With its
120hp hydraulics system, 2,300kg @ 4g
(equivalent to 3,067kg @ 3g) through frame
lift capacity and vector mounted thrusters,
the Pioneer HD proves to be a powerful
and manoeuvrable, highly reliable and
adaptable tool to both clients and operators
alike. The design of the vehicle includes
a number of features that have been developed
to optimise the reliability and capability
of the system, which
include; rationalised cabling, ergonomic
design for easier maintenance and peripheral
equipment fit and a dedicated high flow
four-function tooling valve pack.
-The Pioneer
HD has been created to perform a large
number of underwater tasks within the
subsea construction, pipeline & structural
survey, wellhead & manifold intervention
and drill rig support areas. As an option
the Pioneer HD can be provided with fibre
optic video capability, reducing the amount
of video degradation that may be experienced
when the ROV operates at deeper depths.
We try
to provide the most up to date, recent
specifications on these ROV systems. However,
ROV system specifications are changing
all the time, so please double check with
the manufacturer to insure the specifications
are correct before making a decision in
